Blood Donation (1st October 2021)

3. Description of activity-

A blood donation camp was held at Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad on 1/10/2021 with the collaboration of the National Cadet Corps, NSS, sports and health care centre. This program was organized as per the guidelines of Shivaji University, Kolhapur only to avoid deficiency of blood during COVID-19.

This camp was organized with the help and guidance of Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane Saheb and with the assistance of V.C. Cottage Hospital Karad. As per the data, 49 donators including students and staff of the college donated their blood. CTO Dr. Chavan Raj, Dr. A. U. Sutar, Capt. Sunita Shinde etc. participated in the blood donation program. Blood donation certificates were distributed to the students, cadets and staff for their precious help, which was definitely helpful during the COVID pandemic situation.

4. Outcomes

1. The importance of blood donation is to be known to all participants.

2. Students are aware of blood donation.

Tree Plantation (15th August 2021)

 1. Activity- Tree Plantation

2. Date and Venue-15^th August 2021, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

The Tree Plantation programme was organized by the Department of 19 MAH BN NCC Karad, 6 MAH Girls BN NCC Kolhapur and NSS at SGM College Karad on the occasion of Independence Day 15th August 2021. The flag was hoisted by the Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane Saheb. Subsequently, the tree Plantation program was organized in the presence of the Vice-Principal of the science stream, Commerce stream and Arts stream respectively Prof. S. A. Patil, Prof. Kambale M. and Prof. Suryavanshi N.R. in the valuable presence of the CTO Dr. Raj Chavan, Capt. Sunita Shinde.

The cadets of NCC participated in the above program. After this program, the cadet of SGM College Karad and SUO Akshay Kabade expressed their opinion about the tree plantation programme which is also to be held in SGM College once a year and also about the management of the tree plantation program.

Independence Day

 1. Activity- Independence Day

2. Date and Venue-15^th August 2021, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

74^th Independence Day of India was celebrated in Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College Karad on 15^th August 2021 in the valuable presence of Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane, Vice-Principal, teachers, staff, cadets and students.

Principal Dr Mohan Rajmane inspired the cadets with his speech. Also,he aware to students to take necessary precautions in the serious situation of COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Mohan Rajmane accepted the greetings from the parade of the cadets.

4. Outcomes-

1.      The sense of pride developed among the students for Indian Tiranga and Indian Independence Day.

2.      Respect created for the patriots who sacrifice everything for the service of the country.

International Yoga day (14th to 21st June 2021)

 1. Activity- International Yoga day

2. Date and Venue-14^th to 21^st June 2021, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

Cadets of the19th Maharashtra Battalion celebrated International Yoga Day online. The camp was organized on the occasion of Yoga Day from 14th to 21st June 2021.

The camp was organized to help the cadets to incorporate yoga into their daily habits which will help in boosting their immunity and maintaining good health. The many benefits of yoga were explained to the cadets. The cadets learned the proper asana techniques in a professional manner. This will help the cadets and their families to improve their health.

Jingle organized by Government of India on the occasion of International Yoga Day for College CadetsCompositionCompetition, online IDYQuiz, program participation on June21, 2021, YogaTraining /Webinar /Lectures, live yoga session, participation with the family member.

World Environment Day. (5th June 2021)

1. Activity-World Environment Day.

2. Date and Venue-5^th June 2021, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

            During a pandemic COVID 19, World Environment Day was celebrated online mode. The Company Commander of the NCC Unit LT Sandip Mahajan organized this program. The cadets of 19 MAHBN NCC Karad had appealed to plant at least one tree near the farm or surroundings of their house. As result, many cadets uploaded their tree plantation pictures and videos on NCC digital forum platform. Cadets performed well and celebrated this program more interestingly in online mode.

1.      Environmental awareness created amongst cadets.

2.      Cadets learned how to plant and nurture trees.

3.      Cadets contributed to earth conservation.
