Blood Donation

2. Date and Venue-28^th Dec 2023, Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

The blood donation camp was held at Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad on 28.12.2023 in collaboration with the V.C. Cottage Hospital Karad, Health Center S.G.M. College Karad, National Cadet Corps and NSS.

This camp was organized with the help and guidance of Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane and with the assistance of V.C. Cottage Hospital Karad. As per the data, 49 donors including students and staff of the college donated their blood. Dr. Sneha Shejawal (VC Cottage Hospital Karad), Lt. Sandip Mahajan, Dr. A. U. Sutar, Mej. Sunita Shinde CTO Dr. Kamalakar Patil Dr. Abhay Patil and others participated in the blood donation program. Blood donation certificates were distributed to the students, cadets and staff for their precious help to needy people.

4. Outcomes

1. The importance of blood donation is to be known to all participants.

Constitution day, Martyr’s Day and National Cadet Corps Day

1. Activity- Constitution Day, Martyr’s Day and National Cadet Corps Day

2. Date and Venue-26^th Nov 2023, Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

Every year 26th November is celebrated as “Constitution Day.” India’s constitution was adopted on this day in 1949. This day also marks the memory of the 26/11 terrorist attacks on Mumbai in 2008.

This day was organized in SGM College, Karad On 26^th Nov, 2023 in collaboration with NCC. The chief guest of the program was Advocate Vaishali Sonavane and other lawyers of the Karad Bar Association were present for the function. Vice-Principal Prof. S. A. Patil read the Preamble of the Constitution of India. Vice-Principal Prof. S. A. Patil conveyed the importance of Constitution Day to the cadets and students after that reading of the preamble of the constitution by students and staff Lt. Sandip Mahajan delivered a speech highlighting the importance of “Shaheed Din” along with the staff, cadets and students paid tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives during the attacks.

4. Outcomes

1) Students cadets learned about the importance of Constitution Day.

2) Students also remembered the heroes of the 26/11 attacks and paid tribute to them.

Meri Mati, Mera Desh

2. Date and Venue-19 October 2023, Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

Meri Mati, Mera Desh initiative was implemented in the college as per the circular of the Maharashtra Government and Shivaji University Kolhapur as per the resolution of the Government of India. The said program was concluded under the guidance of the principal of the college Dr. Mohan Rajmane. On the occasion of this activity, every student of the college collected soil from their village or farm in Amrit Kalash after saluting the freedom fighters and revolutionaries in the college. For this program the Vice Principal of the college Prof. S. A. Patil, Prof. N. R. Suryavanshi, Prof. M. Kamble, NCC Chief Lt. Prof. Sandip Mahajan, CTO Dr. Kamlakar Patil was present.

4. Outcomes

1. Love for the soil of the country developed.

2. Students get information about freedom fighters.

3. Nationalism and patriotism arose.

Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

1. Activity- Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

2. Date and Venue-1^STOctober 2023, Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

The nation observed Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) – a fortnight of cleanliness activities with the theme Garbage-Free India from 15 September to 2 October 2023. Taking inspiration from Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s clarion call for Swachhata, more than 109 crore individuals participated in the nationwide campaign over 18 days, averaging around 6 crore people participation per day across the country.

19 MAH BN NCC Karad Department organized the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at the College Premises on the 1st of October 2023. This event was organized in the presence of ANO LT Sandip Mahajan and CTO Dr. Kamlakar Patil with NCC Cadets. NCC Cadets participated in the Cleanness activity. In this activity almost 8 kg. Plastic, chip packets chocolates etc. garbage was collected by cadets.

4. Outcomes

1. To accelerate efforts toward complete sanitation in rural India.

2. Understand community mobilization drive for cleaning up legacy waste

3. Reinforcing the concept of “Sanitation as everyone’s business.”

4. To commemorate Swachh Bharat Diwas (2nd October) at the village level.

Selection of Cadet Swarupa More in BSF

सद्गुरु गाडगे महाराज कॉलेज कराड येथील 19 महाराष्ट्र बटालियन एनसीसी कराड येथील छात्र सैनिक कॅडेट स्वरूपा मोरे हिची बीएसएफ, मुंबई पोलीस व वन परीक्षक या तीन पदावर एकाचवेळी निवड झाल्याबद्दल महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. मोहन राजमाने साहेब यांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला. स्वरूपा मोरे ही 19 महाराष्ट्र बटालियन एनसीसी कराड येथील 2019-20 बॅचची छात्र सैनिक आहे. स्वरूपा मोरे ही महाविद्यालयातील बीकॉम विभागाची विद्यार्थिनी आहे. तिच्या या यशाबद्दल तिचे आई-वडील, विभागातील सर्व प्राध्यापक, महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य, महाविद्यालयातील 19 महाराष्ट्र बटालियन एनसीसी कराड येथील युनिटचे कमांडिंग ऑफिसर लेफ्टनंट प्रा. संदीप महाजन यांनी अभिनंदन केले. यावेळी महाविद्यालयातचे उप-प्राचार्य प्रा. एस. ए. पाटील, महाविद्यालयाच्या जिमखाना विभाग प्रमुख प्रा. विद्या पाटील उपस्थित होत्या.

76th Independence Day

3. Description of activity-

The 76^th Independence Day of India was celebrated in Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College Karad. in the valuable presence of Advocate Ravindra (Bhau) Pawar, Chairman, CDC and Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane, Vice-Principal, Teacher, Staff and Students.

Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane inspired the cadets and students with his speech. Also, he gives the NCC pledge to NCC Cadets. Dr. Rajmane accepted the greetings from the parade of the cadets.

4. Outcomes

1. The sense of pride developed among the students for Indian Tiranga and Independence Day.

2. Respect was created for the patriots who sacrificed everything for the service of the country.

Tree Plantation

1. Activity- Tree Plantation

2. Date and Venue-15 August 2023, Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

In the gracious presence of Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane, Major Sunita Shinde, Lt. Sandip Mahajan CTO Dr. Kamlakar Patil and the enthusiastic department of 19 MAH BN NCC Karad and 6 MAH GIRLS BN NCC Kolhapur a significant tree plantation drive was conducted on of Independence Day, 15^th August 2023. The event aimed to foster a sense of environmental responsibility among students and contribute to a greener future.

The campaign commenced with an inspiring speech by Principal Dr. Mohan Rajmane, emphasizing the importance of trees and motivating the cadets to actively participate in tree-planting activity. The NCC cadets demonstrated remarkable teamwork and leadership.

With the successful completion of this event in the college, this tree plantation drive served as a beacon of environmental awareness.
