3. Description of activity- (Contribution of Satara District in Indian Independence Movement)

            On 7^th December 2021 on the occasion of the upcoming 75^th Independence Day in 2022, a lecture was conducted by IQAC, NCC, NSS and the department of History of SGM college Karad to salute the memory and contribution of the freedom fighters from our Satara district.

            The chief guest of the program Prof. Dr. Swati Sarode, HoD, History, (Venutai Chavan College Karad) educated the students and cadets about how the Satara district plays an important role in the freedom struggle movement. Also, she talked about the sacrifice of freedom fighters' lives for the sake of our country and the people living here.

4. Outcomes-

1.      Students and cadets are aware of the glorious history of the Satara district.

2.      Respect is created among the students for the soldiers who gave their lives for the country.
