3. Description of activity-

The government of India has announced the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ program during 9th to 16 August 2022 to celebrate the 75th Indian Independence Day.

There are sinning of national Anthem was organized in S. G. M. College Karad at sharp 11.00 am on 9th August 2022 and 17th August 2022 in the valuable presence of Principal Dr Mohan Rajmane, Vice-Principal Prof. S. A. Patil, teaching staff and non-teaching staff, NCC cadets and Students.

On this occasion, ANO Lt. Sandip Mahajan inspired the cadets and students with his speech and also introduced all about how this program will run till 16 August 2022.

1. The feeling of patriotism and respect for martyr’s created among the students.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

1. Activity- Kargil Vijay Diwas

2. Date and Venue-26^th July, 2022, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

Kargil Vijay Diwas Rally was held at Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad on 26^th, July 2022 in collaboration with 19 Mah Bn NCC Karad, 6 Mah Girls Bn NCC Kolhapur and Women’s Military Academy.

This event was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr Mohan Rajmane. The chief guest Prin. Mohan Rajmane in his address said that ‘remember our martyrs’ by revising their sacrifices ‘rejoices’ by celebrating the victory of the Kargil War. Lt. Sandip Mahajan motivates and share information to the NCC cadets for their careers in the arms forces.

4. Outcomes

1. The bravery and determination of Kargil war heroes remembered and rejoiced.

2. Student gets knowledgeable and motivated by India's victory over Pakistan in Kargil.

3. The cadets get knowledgeable about the bravery, valor and sacrifices of our armed forces.

Say yes to life, no to the drug

 1. Activity- “Say yes to life, no to the drug.”

2. Date and Venue-12^th August, 2022, S. G. M. College Karad

3. Description of activity-

To create awareness among the students against the ill effects of narcotic drugs, the Nashamukt Bharat Abhiyan program was organized in collaboration with the Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Satara on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Day. The government of India has launched Nashamukt Abhiyan to free society from addiction and drug abuse to take oath under Drug-Free India Mission.

The 'Say yes to life, no to the drug' oath was jointly sworn by NCC, NSS and Women's Military Academy and the Gymkhana Department of the college on 12^th August 2022. The Principal of the college, Dr Mohan Rajmane give solemn attestation of the oath to the NCC, NSS and Women's Military Academy, gymkhana and faculty. Subsequently the Principal informed about the dangerous effects of addiction on health and hygiene of students.

To devoid young college students  from substance that creates hinders in the growth and ability to reason, the college played its role in educating and advising the young students against the harmful effects of using drugs and spread awareness about it.

International Yoga Day

 1. Activity- International Yoga Day

2. Date and Venue-21^th June 2022, Sadashivgad (Fort) Hajar Machi, Karad

3. Description of activity-

19 Maharashtra Battalion NCC Karad, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Venutai Chavan College and Yashvantrao Chavan College, Karad jointly organized the 8th International Yoga Day of this year at the historical fort Sadashivgad, built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj near Karad. The theme of this year's International Yoga Day is "Yoga for Humanity".

Cadets from all three colleges presented various demonstrations of yoga. The demonstration was attended by 36 Cadets from Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, 39 Cadets from Venutai Chavan College, 37 Cadets from Yashvantrao Chavan College and 2 PI staff. At this time, ANO Lieutenant Dr Mahendra Kadam-Patil, Venutai Chavan College, ANO Lt. Dr  Ankush Mali, Yashvantrao Chavan College and ANO Lieutenant Prof. Sandeep Mahajan, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College were present.

Plogging

 1. Activity- Plogging

2. Date and Venue-26^th April 2022, Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College, Karad

3. Description of activity-

19 MAH BN NCC Karad Department organized a Plogging Activity Program on 26th April 2022 at S. G. M. College Karad on the occasion of Plogging Day. The Plogging event was organized in the presence of ANO LT Sandip Mahajan and NCC Cadets.

NCC cadets participated in the Plogging activity. In this activity 27 kg. Plastic means plastic bottles, chips packets and chocolates etc. garbage was collected by cadets.

1. Cadets will learn about eco-friendly nature

2. Understand the importance of cleanliness.
